Can you believe it? That's what we're having for dinner. Along with a caprese salad Mexican style which translates to tomatoes, Oaxacan cheese, olive oil, and cilantro.
This has been a glorious day. We walked. What a surprise. This time to the Organic Select Store in the Versailles section of PV on Calle Francia. It's a new little market that's run by the folks who do the Online delivery of organic foods.
We met the woman who owns it - an American woman who has, like so many, spent her adult life in the area. She is an acupuncturist now and into alternative therapies and herbs - like so many.
We plan to come here with S&A&H for breakfast. They will love it.
It's 5 minutes from Costco so of course our destination was the big box of delights. After stocking up, we took a cab back to Las Moras. Walking everywhere, this took up the bulk of the day and we had an hour to relax, then an hour to swim and the beginning of our massage appointments of the week.
Oh Mina. The woman is the real deal. Her father was a bonesetter. She comes form a small pueblo in Guerrero. She tunes in radically and her touch is healing. We communicate our needs; Craig and I believe it or not differ in our preferences when it comes to massage. The more we get to know each other, the better the massage is. This is a real relationship. And no! I have only had one sip of wine while I write this.
Her massage is a dance, a movimiento. We each have standing 1 1/2 hour appointments each week for 500 pesos which is roughly $35.00. Leslie has the massage table set up at her house so we wander over. With all the walking and training we are doing, it is welcome from the body point of view. Her integration of spirit, soul, and body works its magic.
This in itself is a reason to return. But there are many more.
We have some exciting days coming up but I'll save the suspense for the actual day.
I sure wish I had lived up to my own expectation to learn Spanish more fluently. I'm such a slacker.
I didn't take pictures today except for this one captured on the way back to our place from Leslie and Rudy's:
We went out after dinner to walk to Soriana's grocery store, yet another food stop. Each place has certain items. This one houses Craig's preferred banana bread and ice cream and also the fresh orange juice for smoothies.
We have created a bit of an issue here at Las Moras. Evidently, the hose in the back yard was trickling away, thus creating a big river of water along the street in front of our house. There were two Las Moras folks here when we returned. We resolved it. Just not sure how the hose turned on. One or the other of us must have done it. Question is: who did and who forgot? Oh well....Life goes on.
3weeks today. Another 3 and we're gone. Yikes.
