Our last Friday

February 27, 2015

6 hours of work on our REI presentation.

Hair cut and color with Leslie at 4 at the same place as last year.  Note:  $80.00 total - 1/2 of what I pay at home!!

Dinner at their house and tv for first episode of House of Cards.

It was just another day.  This is not a vacation ; it's a life.

Craig played tennis; I swam
I'm getting too dark even though I wear sunscreen and clothing.

Mina came to give Leslie a massage and did her belly treatment for me.  She invited us to meet her on Tuesday and go out to the ranchito that her new boyfriend owns so we can meet him.  He's a bit older than her but she's excited about this relationship and he seems to be treating her very well.  We all hope it's the real deal.  She deserves it.

We took Leslie and Rudy out to La Vaca Argentina in Fluvial for a farewell dinner.  Leslie leaves for Boston on Monday.

Good place.  We enjoyed it.

2 episodes of House of Cards.

Just another sunny day

Jeepers!  We worked steadily for 6 hours on the REI Camino project.  It's quite the challenge to organize and condense our photos and content into a one hour presentation that is engaging and informative.   Gets those cerebral impulses firing once again!   Once again, I spilled water all over Craig and the couch!!  That's about 3 days in a row.

A couple reflections:
This time together that we have without the interruptions of every day life is something to appreciate enormously.  We go through our annoyances, have to talk it all through but we seem to always come out feeling closer and more loving with each other.

Being here has its limitations.  For sure.  But a couple things really tilt the scales.  Safety is one.  We can take busses, cabs, or walk anywhere any time of day or night and feel safe.  Where else can that happen?

We love not having a car.  Without a car, one just walks more.  That's the truth.  The Camino got us started with this.

So tomorrow we plan another marathon walking day but we'll take the bus to Nuevo Vallarta this time and then set foot.

We had dinner in el Centro tonight at the

Craig had his first draft beer since we've been here:  Negro Modelo

We walked the length of the Malecon, stopping to listen to music and to the waves crashing.  Never get tired of that.  It's nice to walk in the coolness of the evening.

We're watching Season Three of House of Cards and hope to binge out on the entire season before we return home.

Time will tell.  It always does.

Uh oh.  No more waxing poetic.  It is easy to be happy here.  It could also be easy to be an alcoholic. Happy hour seemingly happens every day, all day!  2 for 1.    Not an issue; just saying.
